Field Report Havenport: 03
The last several months have proved a source of incremental progress, followed by major achievements. My own insertion to the town's adventurers has progressed smoothly, even those who have discovered my form have grown accustomed enough to me to have little negative response. Taking a more proactive approach to my interactions with the adventurers, I was able to insert myself into the group performing a ritual to readjust the seal on the tabaxi archer Cliff (
Felis Hominidae ). Although not without incident, the ritual saw general success, opening the pathways to allow him to cast, and allowing for a slow drain of the creature sealed within him. Sadly, little more of its nature was able to be determined, despite minor damage to several ritual casters. Any component of the final ritual structure I can obtain a copy of will be forwarded to the arcanomechanics department for analysis.
In the days leading to and following the ritual, the human Pandoura (
Adepta Ubiquitous ) showed signs of either a severe mental break, or as grows increasingly likely, temporal poisoning. Given the duration in days, I suspect the ritual was related at points, but was not the trigger for her condition. I have enlisted the aid of her lover to monitor her health in the future, and hopefully, as a result will have advance warning of whatever can cause such a massive impact on a personal timeline.
The tabaxi Cliff also made a comment on a mechanical device known as a bicycle in his homeland. As I am unfamiliar with such creations, I wish to alert the mechanical department in case they need to procure a sample for archival.
Additionally, the half-elf (
Adepta Gregaria) Berry has found a possible approach to alleviating her pact through beseeching divine aid through dedication to the path of a paladin. I am monitoring her progress, as so far, small amounts of memory have been restored to her. Notes on these results of patron-divine interaction will be forwarded to the arcanomechanics and theology departments.
Finally, my prodding of the most active cross-species couple in Havenport seems to have born fruit. A few days before my writing, the tabaxi Kuon (who claims herself to be half-human), and the half-elf Telvar have formally married, and if possible, will likely bear children in time. I will continue to be seen as a supportive ally to them, to ensure I can study any such offspring, likely as a "unrelated uncle" figure.
