So just yesterday, we arrived to this lovely quiet little town and might I say, this place is significantly more pleasant than any other place I've been to thus far. It's not quite as fun as Tordek, but it has a unique charm with its quaint, peace-loving atmosphere. The community is so overtly wholesome and kind that it almost appears to provide a false sense of security, given all that we'd been through this past week. I got a chance to bathe, free of charge, as well as a great deal on a couple slings. The beautiful gem this town is based around is also quite a sight to see. It's crazy to think about it, but only a month or so ago, I was contemplating missing out on all of this, to just barely scrape by through constant bickering and bar fights with my fellow halflings. Fond memories aside, we got to see Nodel's family. They absolutely adored the tale of how Salinor rescued us from the menacing grasp of a terrifying, horrific master combatant goblin (even though they didn't quite see it in exactly that way). It was nice having such a happy evening for a change and if we weren't in a rush to meet Abraham, part of me really would like to stick around a bit longer. For what it's worth though, we're still going to stick around a few days while Avantis gets his new flute made.
