Oh man, these things are starting to get out of control! That attack from the other night didn't ever entirely end at all. It just simmered down. I don't think Shade is actively trying to hurt me or anyone else for that matter. I think he was cast under the spell of another. Avantis doesn't see things the same way however. What started the previous day as common bickering and complaining (as was expected) almost turned into yet another brutal family fight! Things were never this hostile with the Goodbottle gang (though, with Tarbin in charge, we never had to brutally murder anybody). Speaking of murder, our l̶i̶z̶a̶r̶d̶ f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶ dragonborn absolutely obliterated one of them (or so I hear). I didn't get to see the fireworks myself, but based on what I heard, there wasn't much of a body to inspect. Between him (or her) and another other cat assassin getting his (her?) head blown off, there wasn't much keeping my target from quite literally high tailing it out of here. So we won, right? Brutality aside, there's no cause for alarm, right? Well, as you may have come to expect with this new family of mine, things aren't that simple. Like, ever. As soon as Avantis called us to action, I rolled into a nearby bush to assess the situation and what do I see? He's holding Shade hostage via longbow to the neck! I can't say for certain that Shade had nothing to do with this attack, but what I can say is that he wasn't putting up a fight when he was threatened by our bard. This feud between these two is beginning to concern me. If we can't trust eachother in a moment like this, then when can we trust eachother!? Maybe Avantis was wondering the same thing. I don't know. I just wish that night never happened.
