The Captain of the Tolkien city guard wants to have a word with our team. We are waved through the checkpoints and gates, and sent directly to see her. On the way I check on Spot and make sure my stash of items is safe and still with him. We have Matus (a technowizard) with us, he has come with us from magestock. To prove his skills he "talks" to one of my guns which he says is sad, and needs some attention and to be serviced.

The Captain asks after Ivan, leo shares the sad news with her. The team are debriefed on the attack, and that it definitely was not sanctioned, the border control leader decided to try and take out Tolkien. Also the alien gun that Ivan was carrying is a new type of weapon from the coalition and there is a "graveyard" of these new weapons. The Captain assigns the team a mission , a necromancer is operating along the border and needs to be "dealt with" we are offered a healthy purse to do this. The last known location of this necromancer is Elder town, there was an attack here.
Before leaving I want bath and to get supplies, and to service my weapons (who knew that was a thing!! ) When I am ready I meet the team and Annaballe, she informs us that a party of 4 consisting of 1 x cyberknight, 2 x human mercenaries, 1 x cybernetic human went out 2 weeks ago, have had regular contact until 4 days ago - just before the coalition attack.
The sheep are looking very unwell ( Bloody unnatural things!!) so a magical vet needs to be found within the town. The Vet April Babe examines the sheep, they are unusual and she comments that these type of animals usually come through rifts. The snake one is breaking down, we leave the sheep with April.

Making camp for the night, I pull out the wizard stick I got from the necomany town, I ask Matus if he can use it, as I haven't been able to make it work since I acquired it. Matus can use it for spare parts, he informs me that it is kinda useless without the others, it is part of a larger network of wireless power - this is only one pole it needs the others to pass the power along.
In the morning , upon almost reaching Elder town, the town is on fire and seems to be in ruins. As we approach there is a large pyre with bodies burning in the centre of the entrance with a cyberknight body on the top. Estella jumps from the monster truck to check the body on the pyre. I ready my lightning, just incase, the villagers flee. One family recognise Estella as a cyber knight and speaks to her, it was not the villagers who killed the knight it was bandits with missles, the knight protected the village. The bandits have been stealing people and property, after talking to Estella, the cyberknights body is removed from the pyre to be kept until we return to collect him as proper funeral ceremonies need to be performed.
Signs of the Bandits fleeing can be seen in the forest to one side of the village, drag marks, trees knocked down it is very clear the direction we need to follow them. The hideout looks to be a stone barn in a clearing. There are 3 dead bodies in sight . These
look like the remainder of the Cyberknights party. A large Mech breaks through the side of the barn looking like he is carrying another body, upon sneaking around the barn to look in the hole, there are 3 villagers chained up inside, there are undead also. We need to be aware of the Bandits in the surrounding forest
