Sprouts in a Forest

Hazel's parents worried about visitors.
Dad is comforting "Its ok, they're normal"
why now - mom
its been 10 years - dad
Talk about hiding people being suspicious

Gave us Quest to Find plants
Ember Flower - like a tulip but red-yellow in appearance
- petal sour
Emerald seeds - large grape but dark green & very shiny
- red vines climb tree
Dwarf Root (Found) - gold roots
- under rocks near river beds
Dragons tongue - dark red Squiggly and lumpy like a tongue
- soil black and bare under rocks find the dragons lair

find a low spot in the river

fall in the river helping Thomas out

climbing out of the river find a copper piece

Hazel finds the Dwarf Root

Emerald Seeds

tower of kids to pluck them out of the low branches

Ember Flower

randomly eating yellow flowers to find the sour ones (nat 1)

one of the flowers had a wasp

Dragon's Tongue

looking for DT

teenager almost shot Thomas with an arrow

father of child is a village Hunter (Baronthorn)

stepped on a stink bug and squished it (second nat 1 in a row)

playing with rocks lift one to reveal a snake

***Snake Fight***

constricts Hazel

shifts to Thomas and constricts his right arm/wrist

Hazel blows whistle, Loud conch shell sound erupts, weasel like creature comes from the bushes and attacks the snake

Weasel kills snake

get the Dragon's Tongue and run back home.

They question all of us children about the town and activities of the town

Give us gifts/trinkets of glass orbs with different shapes (kaleidoscopes)

- some of them glow "special" (magically gifted)
- to the parents alone of those special "We cant have another tragedy. It's for the best"
