As the sun crested the horizon, Ash and I took our leave from Candlekeep. I asked Coo to send word of my mission to the Star Mounts. He enlisted the aid of Sylvira, who arranged for a griffon to take us to her friend, a wizard called Traxigor. He could then teleport us as far as Elturel. It was very strange to fly that way, but the griffons easily halved our travel time and I was grateful to conserve my energy. Traxigor was hesitant to send us on our own, but after some convincing he finally relented with a shrug.
“Look, if you want to descend to the depths of Hell with nothing but an overgrown mongrel, then who am I to stop you?” he muttered as he folded his fingers together and pressed his palms outward. A satisfying cascade of pops and snaps emanated from his knuckles.
