Notes From the Archive of NallinVul

~Found no reference of the Cult of the Ivory Claw, as it seems that there is not really any recorded history of them, perhaps due to the relatively young age of the cult itself. He does manage to find references to the Cult of the Frigid Winter, the group loyal fanatics that followed Lord Valadihr, "The Everlasting Winter", the dragon whom ruled over Kortarra before he was slain by Falthir Kortis, the first king of Kortarra. In looking at the references to the Cult of the Frigid Winter, there is multiple references to a place called "The White Keep" within the Albus Mountains (Which are the mountains situated just outside of Avalbourne, the city that Lady Valdanna is supposedly originally from) that was situated very near Valadihr's own lair. It was a place that the cult would reside and seek his blessing and direction. Falthir Kortis had to leed an assault on the White Keep before he could proceed to the Lair of Lord Valadihr where he eventually slew that dragon.~

While searching for any other notable historical weapons tied to dragonslaying within Kortarra, We found references to two weapons. Besides the Kings Sword Val'Ensis which was created from the bones and scales of Lord Valadihr, the actual sword that Falthir Kortis had used to slay the great white dragon was said to have been enchanted by Harim Goldbeard, the same Dwarven man who created Val'Ragnum and Val'Ensis. This lesser sword of Falthir Kortis', known by the name 'Ember' fell into obscurity after the creation of the Kings Sword, but it is rumored that its final resting place is near Wildepass in Southeastern Kortarra, near where the first king had been born. Ember is said to ignite with flames hot enough to cut through the cold of the Eternal Winter~

~The second weapon mentioned did not belong to Falthir Kortis, but actually the woman who would become his wife. Aywin Hillthorn (Later Aywin Kortis, fist Queen of Kortarra) was an archer of some renown and member of Falthir Kortis' warband that hunted Lord Valadihr. Her longbow had been gifted to her by Falthir, and was known as 'Dragondirge'. The enchantment placed on Dragondirge was said to peirce the thick hides of Dragons and all their kin with deadly accuracy. The resting place of this bow is known, being a prized artifact within the personal collection of the Count of Wolvard, Count Conrad Nash.~
