The New Temple
The New Temple is many things: a physical construct, a metaphysical Essence: Ѻ, a symbolic ideal, and the name of the arcane society of Enthredic-users prophesied to emerge from the world of Taharjin's Flame during the Fourth Age.
It has not yet been Realized but its manifestation in this world is sought with near-religious fervour by the loyal mage disciples of Taharjin, Last of the Vocru, and condemned by any who oppose Her.
The New Temple is the fated reconstruction of The Vocru High Temple, once the nexus of the Author-Emperors' reign.
The original Temple was a breathtaking masterpiece, a towering structure of unimaginable complexity and beauty that stood as the pinnacle of Vocru achievement. Built from materials that shimmered with an inner light, the Temple was a place where the Vocru's greatest minds and spirits converged, each hall echoing with the wisdom of ages. Inside, the air thrummed with the energy of the Servants —powerful, sentient constructs who maintained the Temple’s perfect harmony and facilitated the Vocru’s communion with the cosmos.
The High Temple was more than a place of worship; it was a living embodiment of the Vocru’s mastery over reality, a symbol of their divine mandate to rule and optimize the universe. Yet, in their quest for ultimate power, the Vocru made the fateful decision to raze this magnificent edifice, sacrificing the Temple and its Servants to create Eternity—an invented realm beyond time and death, where they sought to achieve immortality.
