The Hydra is a top-of-the-line multipurpose exosuit originally meant for extreme performers. Since the discovery of the musical component to True Magic, a number of troupes and mercenary outfits have begun rigging them for combat. We at NGE listen to our consumers, and now offer various martial options out-of-the-box for the discerning arcane musician who doesn't want the hassle of contract-voiding mods.

Mechanics & Inner Workings
The Hydra strikes a balance between protection and arcane supplemental suites, with freedom of the jaw emphasized for singers, storytellers, actors, and poets—something not considered in most exosuits beyond what's required for ease of breathing. Servos in the fingers enable virtuosic playing of string instruments, which are protected from the rigors of combat and harsh environments by an extended protection field. Communications and detection equipment are a key element of the suit as well, with NGE advertising that an arcane guitarist could play their instrument in the vacuum of space, and the suit would transmit a perfect simulation of the instrument's sound in an appropriate planetary atmosphere, with over ten thousand environmental conditions programmed into the digital processing software.
Significance
The Naiad Graves Everstone Hydra exosuit is the only alternative to Hasedar lines for those with an arcane bent. It has been used successfully by a growing number of mercenary outfits that had their origins as performing troupes, and is also very popular with members of the Din of the Deeps that choose a less conspicuous exosuit than the RIE.
