Azalea Desert
Azalea Desert is a harsh, sandy environment as far as the eye can see. It is barren of any life and it never rains. This desert is home to Dryfolk, a rare ethnicity lost to time and secluded in a distant wasteland.

Large sand dunes. So many sand dunes.
Localized Phenomena
Sandstorms are a frequent and deadly occurrence in Azalea Desert. Many creatures caught in them perish without the right preparation due to the harsh winds and razor like sand. Major heatwaves are also a huge problem, causing the sand to heat up like a frying pan.

History
Azalea Desert has always been around as far back as Kiwano's Pearl. The rain and flood Kiwano created didn't touch this land, and it is thought to be cursed by the gods somehow.
There was a point in time where The Spyce had a rite in which when one turns 18, they are tasked with venturing out into the desert and survive for 3 days. This was to prove they were hardy enough fro adulthood. Needless to say, there were many casualties. This rite eventually faded out in their culture.
The only reason the Dryfolk live here now is because of a blessing they received from Pitaya, God of Judgement centuries ago.
In recent history, it is also rumored that The Roripop Kingdom once sentenced some prisoners & criminals to be exiled to the desert, for it was "more humane" than execution.
