Charm Poppu

Charm Poppu is the daughter of Gourmet Poppu and twin sister of Chupa Poppu. After the The Roripop Revolution Chupa and Charm became the princesses of The Roripop Kingdom. They ruled the kingdom from 113BM to 35AM during what is regarded as the golden era of the Roripop Kingdom.

Despite ruling the kingdom for 148 years, Chupa and Charm remained eternally youthful, hardly looking like they aged a single day. While definitely odd, they were so highly regarded and praised by the kingdom that no one minded one bit. After the limbo Gourmet had put the kingdom through it was a pleasing and welcome change.

Charm's eyes are a mix of red and white, much like charm's sweet and sour pops. She also has short red wavy hair with white streaks.

Physical quirks

Charm usually wore red, or other bright colored, short and poofy dresses along with her hair up in twin buns held up with bows that looked like lillipop wrappers.

Personal history

Chupa was born in the year 128BM, 11 years before The Frutuscore War. Her early life with her sister was somewhat pleasant. Gourmet cared for and spoiled them, for she wanted them to grow up to be a striking image of herself and one day carry on her legacy. Gourmet was a strict mother, resorting to yelling most of the time.

Charm was often the one getting into antics and trouble. Life would have been a lot worse for her if not for her sister who stood up for her most of the time.

As Charm grew up, she became aware of her mother's misdeeds and cruelty, though she tried to remain ignorant of it. She loved her mother and believed she could still be redeemed. Chupa wanted to revolutionize, but Charm persisted in trying to persuade Gourmet instead. In the end, words didn't seem to get through to Gourmet, making The Roripop Revolution the only option.

At the climax of the revolution, specifically after the twins confronted their mother, Chupa emerged from the castle gravely injured; a deep stab wound in her gut. It is unknown if this was caused by a guard, her mother, or some other unknown source. Despite her injury, she knew the kingdom needed a leader and volunteered. Charm objected, saying that she would take the position while Chupa recovered. This is what would lead to their duel leadership later on.

While Chupa recovered and tended to her research, Charm led the kingdom. She held many meetings with other nations, offering aid in the aftermath of the war. She attempted to build trust between other nations and Roripop Kingdom again and improve the kingdom's reputation.

She started many homeless shelters, created thousands of new jobs, and restarted the kingdom's economy. While both Chupa and Charm are given credit for this era, Charm is the one who did most of the heavy lifting. Chupa worked behind the scenes, creating strategies and agendas while Charm was responsible for carrying them out.

She only got more busy while Chupa was raising Amai in the castle, resulting in her having to do nearly everything. Charm wasn't as good as her sister in planning and organizing things, so a few treaties with other nations fell flat, including their most important and sought after treaty with Fascal. But the kingdom still flourished in the end.

Near the end of her reign, Charm's mood drastically changed. She seemed more paranoid and less up beat. It could have been the stress finally getting to her or something more severe. Then, in 54AM Amai Poppu was announced to the world. And a year later Chupa and Charm said they were leaving, sailing north to get some well deserved relaxation while Amai ruled in their stead. Since then they haven't been seen but Amai occasionally receives letters from them.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Charm was the pinnacle of the Roripop Kingdom's "golden era." She was the one who lifted the spirits of the people and improved the kingdom's reputation overall.

Mental Trauma

Charm tried to erase her mother's existence from history for the sake of the kingdom's reputation and her own mental health. Despite everything that Gourmet did Charm still felt guilty for what happened to her. The subject of her mother was a touchy one for Charm, causing her to quickly try and change topics.
