Gourmet Poppu
(She/ Her)
Queen Gourmet Blowpop Poppu (a.k.a. Queen Poppu)
Gourmet Poppu was the first ruler of The Roripop Kingdom. Her reign lasted from 144BM to 113BM, where she was killed during the brutal The Roripop Revolution.
Gourmet Poppu's rule was a dark time in the kingdom's history. The kingdom was just starting out and was growing at a rapid pace. Gourmet stepped up to act as head of the kingdom until it was more developed and they had established some ground rules. Little did the populace know, giving Gourmet any power at all was a huge mistake.
Gourmet, being power hungry and oblivious on how to run a nation, drove the kingdom through many conflicts, wars, and economical collapse. She cared about her reputation and control over the lives of her own people, sending them to fight in her wars in a vain attempt to conquer more and more land.
Eventually, the people had enough. A revolution, led by her two daughters, finally put an end to her tyranny.

Personal history
In the midst of the Roripop Kingdom's founding and construction, around 170BM, Gourmet appeared. Many people knew her and claimed her to be a local in the upcoming kingdom, but there is no evidence or records of that being true. Or perhaps they were just lost to time.
Regardless of her origins, the people considered her as one of their own. She was upstanding, friendly, and funny. She loved the attention and everyone loved her. Which is why when the time came to decide a leading figure for the kingdom and Gourmet stepped up, the people elected her. But getting so much power so fast changes a person.
The first few years with her guidance were harmless at first. The small town had actually started to grow and organize itself into a flourishing, self sufficient community. Unfortunately, this is where things would take a turn for the deep end.
Gourmet loved ruling over the kingdom. She felt a great sense of pride in the work she achieved and loved the respect she was given. But she wanted more. Under Gourmet's rule the kingdom grew tenfold, expanding into any unclaimed territory adjacent to her. Eventually, she ran out of space. Other nations occupied the rest of the continent, but that didn't stop her.
Gourmet started attacking neighboring nations, the first of which was the nation of Foglie. It was too easy. After realizing she was the dominant and more developed nation, she started expanding more and more and more.
Her constant attack on other nations would eventually start the The Frutuscore War, a war where nearly all nations either started fighting for power or teaming up and combining to hopefully stand a chance against the Roripop Kingdom.
Gourmet started enlisting any citizens 16 or older to train to become a knight and fight. Many resources were depleted and many lives were lost, and any resources the kingdom did have Gourmet hogged to herself. The kingdom suffered and sunk into a great depression. Luckily for the kingdom however, two beacons of light would soon shine through the darkness.
It is unclear whom she had children with, but in 128BM she gave birth to a pair of twins: Chupa and Charm Poppu. They were raised in the castle by Gourmet herself who immediately wanted to use them to boost her own reputation, and one day, she wanted them to carry on her legacy and rule the world. Gourmet's love for her children is theorized to be what caused her to attack neighboring nations. She was doing it "for them."
But as the twins grew they began to see and understand the monster their mother truly was. They did everything to help the citizens of the kingdom, often secretly passing out supplies Gourmet was keeping in the castle. They became a glimmer of light the kingdom desperately needed.
Gourmet eventually found out about their secretive aid and became cruel towards them. She saw how much the kingdom loved them and believed they were trying to usurp her. To win the kingdom over and take it for themselves. Ironically for her, these allegations are what gave Chupa and Charm the idea of revolution in the first place.
The twins laid low for a while, obeying their mother's every command while attempting to help where they could in the kingdom without raising suspicion. And secretly, they were rallying the kingdom's citizens to revolt against Gourmet.
And in the end, they were successful. Duke Klondike Talenti led the charge into the castle while Chupa and Charm confronted their mother. No one truly knows what happened between them other than Charm emerged from the castle with a wounded Chupa and Gourmet was found dead on the floor of her bedroom with a knife in her gut.
And thus ended one era of the kingdom's history and began a newer, more golden one.
