The Candy Crusade

The Candy Crusade was a heinous act committed by who is believed to be The Chosen. A group of people were invited to The Roripop Kingdom's main square to listen to Amai Poppu give a speech about upcoming laws that would soon be in effect. This was all an elaborate scheme however, for Princess Blowpop was not present. Instead, a group of cloaked figures surrounded the plaza and started slaughtering the citizens gathered there. The Monthly Agenda Council was also meeting that day and were present as well. At one point, Princess Blowpop was passing by and noticed the commotion. As she investigated she was shot in the shoulder, then immediately escorted away before she could be harmed any further.

Around two hundred people were in the plaza that day. Only forty to fifty walked out alive, many of them injured. Among the casualties, Sansho Tsubu was one of them.

The tragedy didn't end there however. The captain of the royal guard, Kroger Marsh, found his daughter, Lin Marsh dead in a nearby alley. She was melting in the sun, as she was also a Candy Mutant.

The Royal Guard is looking into this attack, gathering all information they can find around the kingdom. They found a card specifying details of the attack that was signed by The Reaper, making The Chosen the prime suspect.

Because of this and new knowledge of Candy Mutants, the Roripop Kingdom closed its gates in an effort to keep The Candy Virus in and unwanted intruders out.
