The Order of Kiwano

The Order of Kiwano is a religious monk group containing those who devote themselves to worshiping Kiwano, God of Creation and spreading his teachings. The basis of their beliefs is to live as well as possible while helping those around you in an attempt to make the world a better place by the time you depart it. Followers believe in doing so they're more likely to reach Reveri, and ultimately, Kiwano.

Structure

Children of Kiwano- Kiwano's followers

Monks/ Priests- Monks and Priests go around the village aiding those who need it. They also are in charge of organizing the rules and systems of the village, making sure everyone is getting their fair share and living to the best of their abilities.

High Priests- There are only two High Priests active at one time. Once one retires, all the monks and priests gather to elect a monk/ priest to take their place. High Priests are responsible for leading important prayers, such as the ones given during , and keeping track of the other monks/ priests.

Gatekeepers- Gatekeepers are essentially the law of the village; they protect the Mesocarpian and survey the area around the Reserve for any signs of danger. They are usually well versed in the martial arts.

The Stonemason: A high level monk responsible for the archiving and organization of history on the Material Plane. Many believe Kiwano's Throne of Time to be made of stone, the intricate carvings of humanity and history itself magically being chiseled into it as time passes. It is believed that the history being recorded is The Stonemason's doing; a mortal soul dedicated to the conservation of humanity and its history in order for it to be relayed to Kiwano and the inhabitants of Reveri via the Throne of Time. The Stonemason works until their mortal form has expended it's natural life, at which point it is Pitaya, God of Judgement's job to reincarnate the Stonemason so that it may continue its work. It is up to the followers of Kiwano to keep track of the Stonemason's soul, making sure the new body is well equiped to continue its task. The cycle of the Stonemason will continue until time itself comes to an end, at which point the Throne of Time will finally be complete. If something were to happen to the Stonemason's soul it would have apocalyptic effects, for time is no longer being relayed to Throne of Time, essentially freezing time and history of the entire world.

Abbot- The highest level monk in the land. The Abbot is responsible for aiding all other monks and keeping things in order. It's more or less just a title, but the Abbot is highly respected.

Culture

The Order of Kiwano is a very peaceful and open religion. Most of its traditions are done through prayer, meditation, and sometimes both! Kiwano's followers decorate their homes and attire with pearls to represent him as well as give offerings to statues.

History

The Order of Kiwano is a conglomeration of similar traditions and beliefs that is thought to have started in Enoki Village, but Kiwano's followers date back centuries before it became more widely known. It has changed over the years but still stays true to its roots.
