Enoki Village
Enoki Village was a small village located in Cukeasaur Mountain Range and was the primary settlement of The Mush.
Demographics
Enoki Village consisted primarily of The Mush, a race of mushroom folk. They lived in perfect balance with those around them and the gods themselves, worshiping both Kiwano, Pitaya, and later Moya, equally. It was a very open and equal community with no wealth classes or social status other than the head monk Shii Take who lived atop the highest mountain in Frutuscore: Mt. Cukeasaurus.
Government
Shii Take, leader of the village, was in charge of organizing its duties, religious ceremonies, and many more. His word was law and single handedly led the village. Many treated him with the upmost respect.
Defences
The mountains provided as natural defenses, though that didn't seem to help in The Great Mush Massacre.
Industry & Trade
Enoki Village secluded itself from the rest of the continent, not opening itself to trade except with other settlements within Shiokosho.
Infrastructure
The village was built between a large ravine, with bridges and houses hanging from the cliff faces, creating an expansive network of paths and tunnels through and across the mountains. The buildings themselves were arcorn shaped and made of wood.
Districts
Located at the top of Mt. Cukeasaurus was Shii Take's palace. It was here he "conversed with Kiwano" and came up with his prayers and traditions. Far below, located in the normal mountain range, was the residential district where a majority of the population lived.
Below the residential district and in the ravine itself were various gardens and meditation sites built into the mountains, often using natural waterfalls and streams as water sources.
And below all of that were some mines owned by Shiokosho City and other neighboring towns. The Mush were happy to lend their land for the mining of natural resources.
History
Enoki Village has a tragic history of deception and fear. For many decades, Shii Take led the people of Enoki Village, sharing his wisdom of the gods and pushing his beliefs onto others. Many respected him, holding him in high praise.
Around 0AM, Simón D'speer came to visit the village to train under Take as a part of his pilgrimage. During this time however, D'speer discovered that Shii Take was a fraud, using fear and other underhanded methods to use the god's word in order to make others do his bidding. D'speer exposed him to the village and the villagers headed up to confront Take in his palace. As the angry villagers walked up to the palace, Take barricaded himself inside. This would not save him, for moments later, Pitaya fell from the sky (Blinded by Freedom), landing directly on Shii Take's palace, obliterating it, and killing Take in the process.
The Mush believed this to be karma from the gods, as well as am opportunity to start over. They built a statue of Kiwano at the peak of Mt. Cukeasaurus to honor their savior. Their religion also shifted to worship Kiwano more over time.
The citizens of Enoki Village found Pitaya's blood where he had landed and started experimenting with it, believing this was a part of Kiwano's gift. Unfortunatly, all of their findings and expirment data would be lost during The Great Mush Massacre just a few years later.
People didn't like the idea of mortals with the god's power and staged an attack on Enoki Village, destroying any blood and documentation they could find while nearly wiping out The Mush in the process. This was later called The Great Mush Massacre.
Natural Resources
Like most of Shiokosho, the mountains Enoki Village was built upon held precious minerals, ores, and spices.
