Book 4: The Pact of Peace

Chapter 1: The alignment of four

The First God, Salat, made a proposal to Davion.

Salat spoke logos:

We will have peace.
We will each have dominion over one half of Myrid.
Portent will spill light across all of Myrid equally.

Davion spoke logos:

We will no longer fight.
We will split the world in half.
Portent will shed light on each side of Myrid, but only half the time.

but then Davion added

However... if either of us or our creations cross over, then Myrid will fall to the other for three ages.

Salat agreed

Portent spoke logos:

I will judge and bare witness.
I will give all my light and my love to Myrid.
And when it comes time, I will count the ages that you both are gone.

Mother Myrid spoke logos:

You speak about me as if I am not here.
I will call you men.
I will play my part and accept the love and find a way to pass it on.

Chapter 2: The Three Children of Salat

Salat eagerly dove into half of Myrid, and she cautiously gave and they created Salland.
Salat took from Myrid the Earth, The Sky, The Water and created immortal beings.
Salat created three of each...

Dwarves: Norori, Suori, Austri and

Elves: Al'boin, Al'frid, El'don and

Humans: Linnaeus, Neander, Antrho.

The nine of Salat lived in Salland with each other in perfect harmony.
They crafted tools, and sang ballads, and explored the terrain.
The humans were Salat's second mistake.

Davion aggressively controlled half of Myrid, and she fought with him to make Daviotica greater.
Davion took from Myrid the mud, the storms, lava and created immortal beings.
Davion created three of each...

Titans: Tethys, Coeus, Themis.

The nine of Davion used Davotica and fought and beat each other in attempted superiority.
They crafted pain-traps, they howled battle cries, they crushed their enemies.
They lived under constant threat of pain and torture without release and Davion cackled.
