Silverwork Festival

An annual festival held in Silvergrove, the Silverwork Festival is a more local tradition held around mid-to-late Autumn originally meant to celebrate the core reason the town exists: Silverwork. It was started roughly around the time the Silvergrove Smith's Guild was formed, roughly 80 years ago. Max Deakley, the guild's founder, originally started the celebration as a form of marketing sale, but in the years afterward it became a fully-fledged holiday for the entire town. Many of the town's artisans will bring out special pieces: hunters and leatherworkers will bring Silverstreak pelts and clothing; carpenters will have special Silverbark wood pieces; chefs and confectioners will have trays of delights made from Silverstreak forage and Silverbark nuts, most notable of all Silverbark; alchemists will form silvered drinks and silver confetti firecrackers and sparklers; and of course, the guild will present various silver masterworks. Children will often participate in a minor leaf hunt to find Silverstreak leaves, the silver creating a beautiful contrast against the typical oranges and yellows.   Overall, the modern festival is a time of merriment and joy, meant to celebrate the good fortune found in the area, as well as the natural beauty of the world around them. Many goods will be prepared in anticipation of the event, and tourists will come the world over both for a large market full of unique goods and for an excessive celebration full of food and drink.
