Crazy cat ladies have very smelly houses that make people avoid them. The cats inside, on the other hand, are wild, carnivorous, always trying to escape, and are always hungry. Another species is very similar to this in Zombieland, but I can't figure out which one.
Reno was invited to go gamble at the casinos, picking her up along with the other spinsters in her low-income housing as part of a field trip. Not interested in interacting with anyone but interested in the slots, she went along with them. Along the way, the group departed the bus to go to a 24-hour eat-in diner as part of the scheduled road trip, but she refused to stop her knitting and get off the bus. She argued to such a degree that the tour guide gave up trying and went into the restaurant herself. This is what saved her.
After the restaurant and everyone in it was torn apart, Reno felt that she had best move on and find some food after all. Bus driving is easier than it sounds, and she was able to figure it out and run over some zombies as she drove away. After going for long enough she didn't think she was followed, she began to look for supplies at the first liquor store she could find that still had cigarettes and pudding, which was luckily across the street from her real goal- a crafting supply store. She needed more yarn.
Speaking of yarns, she soon met up with the rest of her survivor party, though none of them liked each other at first. Or second. Or... look these people all lived for a reason.
