Malibu California
In Zombieland, the only ones to survive the zombie apocalpyse survived for a very good reason. The reason they all share? They're antisocial and aren't part of any group- family, friends, social clubs, companies, anything. No one wants anything to do with them, and they're physically fit. They just suck that much that everyone avoids them, and they avoid everyone else too.
Malibu California was a surfer dude that wanted to go to Malibu, California, so he could surf. There isn't much of anyone left alive on Earth, so he could have all the waves to himself, and really great scenery from abandoned coastal mansions!
Along his way, he joined up with some other survivors fighting against various-sized zombie swarms. He was still the same kind of asshole he always was, being the kind of 'beach bully' that would kick children's sand castles and hit on women he kicked sand onto obliviously (so he says). However, as he became more comfortable with Darius Steward, Reno Nevada, Las Vegas Nevada, and Phoenix Arizona, he toned himself down a bit.
At one point while the party was raiding an office building for hoarded snacks and drinks from dead people's desks, a group of zombies that had once been an office birthday party attacked. Malibu knew the lot of them couldn't survive, and being the closest one to the hallway, he used his surfboard as a shield to hold the zombies back. But one of them bit off one of his fingers holding the board, infecting him.
The rest of the party got away, though.
