Teyvanila

Teyvanila, more commonly referred to as The Great Jungle of Teyvat, is the southernmost region in the entirety of Kashura. It consists pretty much entirely of The Teyvanila Jungle, a vast, dense rainforest, which is famously difficult to navigate for even the most seasoned of trackers.
It stretches from the southern side of The Rajamanju Mountains in the north, to The Kazu-Malaika in the south and east. The Southern side of The Kazu-Malaika are also technically part of the region, though the people there have little to nothing to do with Teyvanila itself, and have closer ties to Irappur.

Climate:

The climate of Teyvanila can generally be classified as tropical. While temperatures aren’t all that high, usually peaking around 30C (86F), the region experiences extreme humidity and precipitation all year round. During the harsh season, rainfall generally gets even more frequent, and tropical storms and floods get much more common.

Population:

It is generally a bit difficult to estimate the population of Teyvanila as the bulk of its territory, The Teyvanila Jungle, lacks large fortifications, cities and settlements for the most part. Its population mostly exists in the form of large migratory clans dispersed through the countryside. Depending on who one asks, estimates for the region's population go as low as 100.000 to as high as 500.000, though the real number likely lies somewhere between the two. While most of them are of The Zoltai Strain, there are also many smaller populations of WIldkin dispersed throughout.

Polities:

The only organized polity that, at least nominally, is part of the Teyvanila region, is the city state of Rashaya in The Nalaia Bay, south of The Kazu-Malaika. Rashaya is an independent city state that was originally founded around 700 pSF and has since established itself as a major center and source of gemcraft and jewelry and science. Secured by its remote and highly defensible location, it has so far been able to assert itself over The Influence of The Morya Sultanate in the region and has funded many efforts to subvert their further expansion. Rashaya is, as of 32 SF home to around 15.000 people, around half of which are of The Zoltai Strain, the other half being a colorful mix of other strains.
