The Khoona River

Originating in the desert lands of Thaamir and terminating in The Gulf of Ashaya, The Khoona River is the lifeline of the region, and home to over 90% of Thaamir’s population which have settled along its banks for most of the region's history.
The river's regular floods irrigate the lands surrounding it, making for prime agricultural land in the otherwise dry and desolate desert region.
Further downstream, in the region of Ashaya, the river twists and turns, creating a vast field of floodplains and woodlands.
