Thorfin

Thorfin has a large terraformed moon, Mudni, with 800,000 human occupants. This moon retains TL4 levels of tech and have recently begun building new spike-capable ships. The planet of Thorfin is an overrun wasteland filled with aliens and zombie like creatures known as Husks.

History

During the Scream, Thorfin was nearly destroyed when their psychics as well as most of the Karnis Lords went feral and began killing. Somewhere, a Karnis Lord used his biopsionics to warp and bend humans into something resembling a Karnis Drone. They made them almost mindless and took away their individuality while searing a twisted version of the Karnis collective into what was left of their minds. This turned those humans into "Husks" they have an overwhelming urge to subsume others into their horde and the ability to psychically blast human and Drone minds until they are just another member of the horde.

These husks rampaged through Thorfin and eventual converted most if not all humans into their hordes. These husks are not actually dead and still breed and forage through the wilderness. They have no agriculture and their population is limited by what they can gather, but because the biosphere was engineered there is far more food than in a normal wilderness.

The Karnis living on the world were originally from Anchos and were brought to Thorfin pre-scream as part of a social uplifting program to bring their species into the mandate proper. They have since spread across the world and are even beginning to understand much of the industry that was left behind on the dead world. They have not yet rediscovered space flight, but have small TL3 production facilities that make planet bound equipment.

These husks often come into conflict with Karnis Tribes and can even steal their drones, but a Lord can usually retake their drones and push the husks away from their clans.
