Uris - Goddess of Beginnings
Uris is the god of food and drink, fertility, growth, and decay and she seeks to promote balance between all of creation. Rornir and Uris created the world for the various races to live in and flourish. Her interest lies in the natural progression of the world and she sees the beasts and creatures as hers to rule over. Ygdall’s trickery angers her greatly and his desire for chaos is directly at odds with her desire to achieve balance in the world. Uris is responsible for the creation of Elves, Gnomes, Beastkin, Tengu, Catfolk, Sprites, and the Strix.
Loyalty:
Uris is mainly worshipped by a loosely connected group of druids and rangers. Much of their understanding of their own religion has been lost to time, and there is much debate over her will. Farmers and other professions that rely on nature for their profession also pay homage to her, out of respect and the hope that by making use of the bounty of nature they don’t anger her.Influence:
The devoted followers of Uris are modest. They build groves in the deep forest and tend to the natural world as best as they can. They tend to keep to themselves and only interfere with mainstream society when it threatens an important grove or section of forest. They strive to keep the cities and towns of man in check as so to not allow the overrunning of nature.Size:
There are enough true followers of Uris to found a small nation. The worship she receives from farmers, lumbermen etc also contribute greatly to the size of her following.Divine Domains
