Paradime's Tome
"Bask in Flamestone, bask in metal, earth, whatever works strongest! This must never be opened, especially by the mind of a human, let alone a warrior. Lock it by the runes of arcane, and the strength of stone, so that none may open this alone. Beg that the folleys of a party never find this, if we can pry it from her hands"Paradime, the former Goddess of the Division, had been formed to guard the space between the realms of the mortals, and the realms of The Divine. Her position was as an armed guard, essentially, taking up a role similar to the Cerburus in Chthonia. She was slain first when it came to the Culling of the Old Gods, the Divine Gate broken and accessed by mere mortals. Her belongings, such as her staff, was taken by these New Gods to be repurposed, but her Tome was left behind, to be forgotten.
- Last Words of Errant Archmagus Sylvus, after finding the Remains of Paradime, God of the Division
What these New Gods hadn't known about, was that the body of an old god could only be killed in Soul, and that her body would linger on, to soon corrupt the land into becoming the Wastes of Paradime, a place known for the destructive tendencies of the Abholos Home Plane. In it's core rests Paradime's Tome, still clutched in the original hands of the Division Goddess. Paradime's Tome cannot be taken from her hands, or else the veils of the gateways to other planes would soon take these graverobbers, bringing them to the Dreaded Homes of the Foul, such as The Hollow Abyss .
