Tanurrak
You bastards, you just had to come and redeem my insufferable self. You brought yourselves here, I wish I stopped you. What happens next isn't what I want to do. Don't think of me like your friend, who I once was... I'll be a rabid beast like those below momentarily. Just know, you lot were the only good in my life.Tanurrak, before his final fight against the Snap, Crackle, Pop.
Upon reaching the outside world for the first time, Tanurrak had to escape from the surface level of Elfar. Too much anger directed to the poor fellow. Kitsune Elves saw him as pawn scum, Dwarves as brutes. He wished to go to a new place, one of more respectability. His journeying took him south, past the faded swamps of the land and small dunes. It was only when he got to the Sell-Sword Sanctuaries that he could sneak away onto a boat, belonging to the likes of Creo Ignam and Salar, the Great Battle Master , when they worked together. It ended up with the Orc getting brought to Halland Island , hidden underneath the decks of the 2 mercenaries. He entered a skirmish with them upon hitting land in The Hallandary , but managed to fend them off until he could escape to the northern regions, where he met up with Orc King Yeltz. Tanurrak had no choice but to pledge allegiance, he could not handle having another dozen adversaries. It was at this moment that he'd join The Emerald Claw , and was positioned to the Wooded Camp. Here, he developed infernal growth, turning him into something akin of a Tanarukk, which made his name become more coincidental to his new fate. Developing 2 large horns on each side of his head, thick tusks, a red hue to parts of his skin, and a barbaric sense. He soon became a vital asset for Yeltz' work. He'd be given a task of kidnapping and murdering Kaze Hoshido, as he was seen as a folk hero capable of rising against Yeltz' plans. It was then that the poor Orc saw his flaws, only after he'd successfully bring the human to the Fire Giant's tower. He'd try to make amends, going to aid the hero whilst he was unconscious, but was interrupted by 3 adventurers, soon to be known as the Snap, Crackle, Pop. A fight would break out between the two sides, and it'd end with Tanurrak having to evade the battle by using the spell Dimension Door.
By the next time the two forces met, Yeltz was slain, and Tanurrak had tried to move elsewhere. He ended up back onto the ship of Creo Ignam, and, unlike last time, he was found amongst the cages holding manic Hell Hounds. With no way to fight, and still injured from his last skirmish, he'd have to simply surrender. He became the ship's lackey, punching bag, and prime person to blame for any inconvenience. By sheer irony, in a month's time, the Snap Crackle Pop found him whilst hitching a ride for Boatlandia. This time, Gormand, their paladin would offer him mercy. A healing incantation from the warrior would fix Tanurrak's wounds. In return, he'd have to explain himself. And so, he did. Talking about his sorrow-filled life, Tanurrak would come to the realisation that maybe his life isn't to be on the run forever, but instead to be the best person he can. His deals with Lilith, they did not state that his actions done had to be evil. He can stop both sides, technically staying in the same state as before. He found a loophole, and thus, was free to thrive, and do good. His first action was to help in discovering what was giving Riree strange visions. Travelling across the Maisin Maw, into it's cities, and underground labyrinths, until he'd let them leave to the Derabo Dwellings.
Soon though, he'd be called to join them, in a fight against the Silvergarde assassins of the island. Alongside him, he brought many warriors of Boatlandia, making amends with Salar, as well as bringing Tarrare to the battle. Here, he'd help the party reach the The Eagle Titan and her nest. He sustained minor injuries, and managed to have the other Silvergarde forces flee. His work was successful, and it gained him a temporary home in Townsville when they had returned. Although, he'd decide that this life was too good, he did not want to have it be faltered to anybody else. His main course of action was to settle down in the upper catacombs, and live a simple farm life near the Citadel of Old Tortvain. A few months later, he got given hazy visions of being slain by an armoured warrior. This frightened him, he only just got his freedom, and it'd be taken away so soon. He came to the conclusion that they must come from the Citadel, and so he'd hatch a plot to destroy the city. Although, at the worst time possible for him, in his time of most evil, Tanurrak was met with the Snap, Crackle, Pop once more. He remembered his time as a good man, with a simple life. And so he changed his plan, for the better. Instead, he'd try to cleanse the city of it's disease, now believing this killer to be a madman.
Working alongside some of the warriors of the city, Tanurrak and his three allies managed to find the Bell of Redemption, a church bell capable of cleansing the local area of any condition, as long as there was a willing vessel for it. In the end, all four of them would try to sacrifice themselves. It would be a fitting end, and they were too close to one another to let another person die. The Orc was successful though, he rang the bell, and the four were transported back to Tanurrak's home. He was the madman, he realised, before losing himself to the insanity of thousands of diseases afflicting him all at once. Tanurrak would bring out his iridescant cleaver, and readied for battle. If not, his afflictions with Lilith could cause her to use him as a fiendish vessel. In the end, the Orc fell, with a smile. His life may have been filled with dismay, failure and mistakes, but he died a hero, and would be remembered as one.
