Mutated animals that are born from the more habitable Ark/Roots . They have increased intelligence but, overall, the same body structure as their less sapient counterparts save a few adaptions. These creatures are second-class citizens and, not long ago, most were enslaved for free labor. After the international protections championed by the Animal Civilian Liberty Alliances A.C.L.A , many ascended creatures would gain some level of autonomy in society. While these creatures no longer suffer forced labor and slavery, most ascended don’t own property and work for food and shelter and seldom meager wages as home and work assistants. A rare few ascended creatures might be in charge of property, but only under a trusting human. These creatures often take dangerous but lucrative jobs that the general human population will not, ranging from construction work to the military. Seldom they might also run their own small operations, often criminal or mercantile-related. While most free creatures live in slums or small towns and are granted simple beds and bunk, a select few get greater amenities by assisting the military. For the most part, these beings work as assistants to humans in many types of laborious jobs; however, animals assisting the military gain access to education and often land full-fledged careers as assistants in scientific to engineering fields.
there are few tribes of animals near less aberrant and more hospitable arks as well. The populations of these transcended animals are protected by Angels/ Guardian beasts / Spirits .
