Pottre
Pottre considers death to be the spark of life, as, without death, life would lose its lustre. After all, it was Pottre who created the end of life, causing living things to end and thus giving their lives a purpose and meaning. In spite, Hess created suffering in death, so mortals fear it and seek immortality through undeath, a perversion in the eyes of Pottre.
Followers. Whilst pottre may not enjoy as many worshipers among common folk as Chafta, Xotan Tekli or even Nurn, they do have one of the largest clergies. This is because clerics and priests often have the important work of tending to the sick and burying the dead. Pottre is always a feature at funerals and most pray to Pottre when a loved one has fallen ill and thanks are given if they recover from their sickness.
Church. The church of Pottre is one of the wealthiest, thanks to the money brought in for healing and funerary services. Most infirmaries and places of healing will contain a small shrine to Pottre. Most towns and even many villages will have a stone church dedicated to Pottre with a low-level cleric and many cities will have large temples which adjoin crematoriums and hospitals. No graveyards are present at any church or temple to Pottre as cremation is mandated.
Clerics of Pottre wear white vestments with red accents, they often have white and red silk ribbons which are tied around their hands during ceremonies to represent bandages.
Dogma. Help and heal others, tend their wounds even if they are your enemy, but do not extend life past what is natural. Provide comfort to those who are passing from this life to the next and provide proper funerary rites for them. Destroy the undead wherever they are discovered and cremate the dead to prevent their bodies from being turned into perversions of life.
