War

It was War who first suggested to the Creator Gods that they should not stand to have their creation ruined, and thus caused the Godswar, the ultimate cruelty was when all was done, War sided against the Creator Gods. It is this act that has made the name of this God synonymous with conflict. War is always stirring up trouble and is largely disliked among the gods, even his Lunar counterparts. The Gods have demonstrated time and again that they do not want the mortals to destroy each other in large numbers, but War loves nothing more than to watch the mortals’ fight. Followers. Soldiers, generals and warlords most often keep War as their God, but so too do those who stand to profit from conflicts. People pray to War for victory in conflict and or pray to him if they wish to be great warriors. Thanks are given to War when a battle is won and he is always asked to bless the army before they go into battle, famously both armies will claim War is on their side, which is not necessarily wrong. Priesthood. Most military barracks will contain a shrine to War and most castles contain a chapel to War in case of siege. Temples to War often have barracks and a mustering ground in their grounds. Whilst many priests are clerics, all priests are warriors, so Paladins, Fighters and Barbarians are also in their number. All priests are armed and most are armoured, if they are not they at least have a single armoured gauntlet as a symbol of their faith. Dogma Fight well. Fight fair. Fight often.
