The Moon, Infernal Realm

The Moon is a flat disc, the underside of which is visible to Achnelia the whole of hell glows a soft dim red which pulses very slowly. It is at its brightest on the 15th of each month and is almost invisible on the 30th day.   The Moon is home to some of the Lunar Gods and their servants the Devils, it is also the afterlife to those who have given their souls to the Lunar Gods. Hell resembles a great city of red bricks at the centre is a massive palace that belongs to Jolenquay, beneath the palace is a dungeon for ‘troublesome’ souls.   Only the demons and the dead can visit the Moon, there is no way for a mortal to travel there, if one managed to somehow open a portal, the only thing they would achieve by going through it is rending their soul from their body and giving it to the Lunar Gods.   Hell is broken into seven parts, six around the outsides for each of the Lunar Gods, except Jolenquay whose domain is the centre. Each of these areas of hell reflects the God who rules them. For example, War has fighting pits and gladiatorial arenas, while Siliko has rich palaces and ballrooms.   Hell is not torture, as those who worship the Solar Gods might claim, but neither does it prevent physical suffering like heaven. Indeed, many who have visited both will tell you heaven is the worse of the two places as existence there is devoid of purpose. Food tastes better if you are hungry and a nap is only a relief if you feel tired, the afterlife is only rewarding if you have a purpose.
