History

The first settlers in Rustmoor were Half Elves and Humans led by Shalleth Drustii who settled in the The Iron Peaks boardering Middengoth in 7731 A.C.   The founding of the Iron Blood Artificers in 7873 A.C.   Rustmoor and was the key point of advancement for the Bavarian Empires military into Southercombe between 8064 - 8067 A.C.

The Iron Blood Artificers

There was a time when Rustmoor was a place innovation and led by a guild of innovators and inventors until the war against the Middengoth Confederacy and the annexation of Southercombe. The guild hall was a place of pragmatistic secularism founded in 7873 by the settlements founder Shalleth Drustii. This Clan bore into the studies of medicine and the natural world without magic, however by the time of the war its members were conscripted by the Bavarian Empire to fight on the front lines under the guise of field doctors and while doing so, encouraged to use their knowlege of anatomy to create leathal weapons of war. The Warcrimes commited by the amoral members of the clan led to its disolvement and destruction by the townsfolk and miners, a number of whom along POWs became test subjects in this twisted science.     Shalleth Drustii (Elf, Female, Clan Head)

Points of interest

The Iron Blood Artificers Clan Hall. Its nought but ruin now, once a guild hall then a stronghold baring a militerists motif. It is said that sightings of spectors can be seen amoungst the rubble at night and during white outs in winter. Some claim adventurers have delved into its cursed halls, many have not made it out, those that did would not speak of what they saw.

Architecture

The oldest buildings in the town appear to be of Elven design of a pointed and refined architecture. The laters designs are more for function than form, cobbled stone intwined with crude iron along with the occasional wodden shacks. Old iron walls guard the northern entrance followed by a stone bridge over a river.

Geography

A rocky and scarred lanscape thats seen its far share of warfare, cliffaces cut with the wounds of battle and a smattering of broken dead trees.

Climate

Prone to heavy snow and white outs, due to the mining town sitting high into The Iron Peaks.

Natural Resources

Iron and a few other precious metals from the The Iron Peaks that have been bored into ever deeper over generations.
