The Precursor Universe

In the beginning, before the creation of the universe as we know it, there existed a precursor universe, a realm of infinite possibility and potentiality. This was a place where the building blocks of existence were being formed, where the elements were being forged, and where the raw power of the cosmos was being harnessed. In this precursor universe, there were no individual beings, no consciousness, no life. Instead, there were the elemental forces, each one vying for dominance over the others. There was fire, burning bright and hot, seeking to consume all in its path. There was water, deep and mysterious, flowing through the empty void. There was earth, solid and unyielding, forming the foundations of all that would come to be. And there was air, ephemeral and ever-changing, carrying the whispers of the universe.   Beyond these elemental forces, there were the elemental supreme beings, the five great gods who oversaw the precursor universe. Each one was responsible for a specific plain of existence, where they wielded their power and worked their will. There was Densitus the Blue, who presided over the plain of shape and substance, where the mass of the universe was being cultivated. There was Eternitus the Black, who commanded the plain of absence of death, the original gestation source of what would become the afterlife. There was Glamorcus the Golden, whose plain was the realm of thoughts and desires, the source of consciousness for all succeeding living beings. And there was Callacus, the messenger god, who traversed the corridors of the conjoining plains, insulating the other plains from each other and delivering the will of The One to the other elemental supreme beings.   But above all of these was The One, the supreme being who oversaw all of existence. It was The One who had set in motion the formation of the precursor universe, who had imbued it with the raw energy and potential that would one day give rise to creation. And it was The One who watched over the elemental supreme beings, guiding them in their tasks and shaping the destiny of the universe.   But despite the grandeur and power of the elemental supreme beings, there was a sense of incompleteness in the precursor universe. Each plain was separate and distinct, lacking the synergy and balance that would come with the creation of the universe. And so, the elemental supreme beings grew restless and resentful, longing for a greater purpose and a more complete existence.   This restlessness and resentment would eventually lead to the First Conflict, a rebellion of the Council of Five against the will of The One. Led by Callacus, the elemental supreme beings would challenge The One and their command of the eternal darkness. The conflict would be fierce and devastating, with each side unleashing their full power against the other.   In the end, the elemental supreme beings would perish, leaving behind only their diadems as a testament to their power and their hubris. And the precursor universe would fade away, replaced by the universe as we know it, where the elemental forces would be united and balanced, and where life and consciousness would come to exist.   But the legacy of the elemental supreme beings would live on, as the power they wielded would shape the destiny of the universe for all eternity. And the lessons of their rebellion would be remembered, as a cautionary tale of the dangers of ambition and pride.
