Tete ta Ftakke (pronounced tɛtɛ tɑ ˈftɑkkɛ in Tahi) was the birth of dragons

Not content with accomplishments, soon after gaining the Dwarves lands to live on, in the belly of Haab's judgement, Prince Hedfa experimented with soul-shifting. Through creating the dwarves, he knew it was possible to manipulate the souls of living beings, what he now desired was the creation of beings that could work for men. Over a 1000 years of research and trial and error, the Prince would entangle the souls of a reptile (large lizards present in the Mountain Marshes) with the souls of a horse from the Desert of Seeth and cave bat from Munla Mine. The body of the horse (used as the receiving vessel of the spells) burst into flames, leaving a clutch of bluish/red eggs, these were dragon eggs. Originally, the Prince did not know what to do with the eggs; for years they remained unhatched with no sign of life present. Finally, after 100 years of waiting, the Prince threw them into the lava of the mountain for the purpose of destroying them. A few days had gone by when the Prince, sitting in his chambers in Ka Ruin Fortress, heard what he though was the braying of a horse. It wasn't, what he heard was the birth of the first dragons ascending from the lava pit of Haab's Judgement. Large scaled beasts with wings sown like a bats covered in thick scales rose from the mountain and broke the clouds of steam bellowing from the volcano. Five dragons flew from the mountain that day and flew South across the ocean; it was later discovered that four of those five dragons had settled in the volcanically-rich region later called by the Dwarves Finggu Ransu fi Pakne. The other dragon would fly further west, not to be seen again for tens of thousands of years.   One dragon did not leave Haab's Judgement, instead choosing to remain in the lava. Unknown to Prince Hedfa at the time, dragons were sentient, intelligent beings that can choose their masters.
