Kalses Sobren
Kalses Sobren is a human wizard who has lived in Lighthaven for centuries. Born in the year 286 ND, Kalses is far older than most humans and has lived through many historical events. He was once one of the greatest wizards in the region, and his spells could rival even the divine power of some of the most powerful paladins. Many still speak of his incredible feats, although they seem like nothing but legends nowadays.
Despite his age, Kalses is still quite sharp-minded and his magical prowess is not to be underestimated. However, his body has begun to show the toll of his many years, and he appears slightly frail and bares many scars from his past fights during his adventuring days.
Kalses is often found selling potions in one of the markets outside his home in Lighthaven, where he has lived for as long as anyone can remember. While some of his brews cause quite a commotion in town, the Sunhallowed typically let it slide as Kalses has done much for the city in the years he has been around.
Rumors have circulated that Kalses may have an affiliation with a witch, but these are mostly discounted as superstition. Kalses has had many allies and associates over the years, but he is known for his strong sense of justice and morality, which often puts him at odds with those who would seek to exploit their powers.
In fact, Kalses is one of the biggest reasons Godrum had ever let adventuring guilds stake a claim within the holy walls of Lighthaven. He believed that every adventurer should have a chance to prove themselves and become heroes. The Sunhallowed were initially hesitant about this, but Kalses argued that it would only strengthen the city's defenses and allow them to face greater threats together.
Kalses may seem absent-minded in his speech, bumbling over his words often, but those who know him well know that he has a keen mind and a sharp wit. Despite his many years, Kalses remains fiercely loyal to Lighthaven and will do anything to protect it from harm.
