Smithstry Realm
All of the land south of the Arnlow River is ruled by the Queen of Smithstry.
Structure
The Queen is the head of state within the realm.
Cities and Townships have a mayor selected by the Queen from amongst their nobel families.
The nobles are landed families, the titles and property is handed down within a family's bloodline, if a bloodline ends with no heir their land is assigned to a family at the discretion of the mayor.
Trade & Transport
Trade within the realm is a state operation, goods can be moved from township to township for a fee paid to the crown. Resources are traded with the Midlath Lordship and the Bellrock Kingdom.
Education
The Great Library in Whithorn functions as an elite university, revered through the lands of humans. Admission is only allowed by those that can demonstrate a certain type of inquisitive nature, as well as being well traveled and experienced. Agents of the library are sent on missions to spread and gather knowledge and are often regarded as excellent advisors.

There are well tended roadways connecting the major townships and cities within Smithstry.
