Painstock

Painstock is the name given to an enchanted carved staff used as the Staff of Station for the High Obsidian of the Order of Maji.

Magical Properties

A Staff with the ability to cast a combined burst of fire and lightning in the direction in which the head of the staff is pointed.

History

It was created in 895 by Jikx the Murderer when he imbued a healthy, living person, an Acolyte from the school, along with heat and static lighting into the weapon in the Sanctum dungeons (something he did multiple times creating eight different weapons and objects). Jikx was later tried and executed by the Order of Maji for his actions.

Significance

It is the Staff of Station for the High Obsidian of the Order of Maji.
