Zaragoza's Domain
History
After the creation of the humans, the Snake spirit, Zaragoza, came down to the land he had been given. He never really cared for the humans, having barely helped with their creation to begin with, so he was only involved the first couple of years, teaching his humans that the world was a "dog eat dog world", teaching them to be strong, or they will die, natural selection and such. This did make the humans become quite chaotic and segregated, each separate family barely involving with another. Although as the years passed and passed, people had to get closer since there was not a lot more room to grow, so there was a lot of fighting, stealing and killing involved in their rise as a civilization. Later rather than sooner they finally got together to make some sort of order, since all the fighting and chaos seemed to be more hurtful than anything, and finally built the first big city, Zaragoza's Scales, a city with a lot of spacious wooden buildings built in a sort of oasis in a desertic stretch of the Domain. The reason for it was because nobody quite wanted to fight for this land, meaning the chances of someone wanting to conquer the place for personal gain were low. It ended up turning into a sort of trade center, as well as some residential areas being built. Eventually more and more progress made them build more impressive things like schools and jails, even banks. And thus, their own police force was born. Since most of them came from similar origins, neither the police nor the criminals were afraid to use force, still causing the city to be in almost constant turmoil. After the Great Raid, Zaragoza decided to be a bit more involved, fearing the weakness in his domain's army could cause it to get easily conquered, finally guiding his humans towards a more organized and strong presence throughout the territory. Later, the guild of thieves, the Slithering Thieves was created, making crime a lot more present within the Domain. Eventually, one of the kings decided to make a sort of truce with them, the domain will not internally persecute any criminals who decide to do crime outside of the domain. Naturally, this angered the other domains quite a bit, since it enticed these people to go and spread crime elsewhere.Geography
The domain stretches along a land mostly made out of wetlands, and a few stretches of badlands, especially near the coasts. It has two major mountains, named Zaragoza's Fangs, due to their sharp looking nature. The beaches are mostly filled with mud, gravel, and even some cliffs that have metals within.Culture
As stated before, the humans of the domain are rather distrusting by nature, with a crime rate as high as they have it. This has caused gatherings to be avoided, and families to be rather secluded, only mixing and matching with other trusted families. The people here are known to be really efficient mercenaries and assassins, willing to do almost anything for coin. You won't find better swords for a fight than in this domain. And so, a lot of the inhabitants have traveled the world in search of work, leaving the city as more of a hub for when you want to look for someone to work for you, or you're looking for mercenary work yourself. Their food consists mostly of meat from animals, namely sheep, cows, and pigs, as well as some simple plants, especially potatoes, carrots and other underground plants. While they do have a bit of art, it's not nearly as developed as other domains, and most of it ends up being folk tales and myths. One good example is the hydra, a really large dragon like monster with multiple heads. It's unknown if the myth is based on truth or not. They do have several traditional manners, for example their handshake. It was first developed as a sign of trust, like a really quick frisk. It consists of holding the other by the wrist area, while the other hand goes to the hip to check for weapons there too. Naturally, the people learned to just not keep weapons there specifically, but the shake remained.Politics
While they had little need of it most of their time, during the first civilization boom they had, they had to begin to organize with themselves. They created a system where every family that lived near enough or on the city had a vote on civil affairs, although only one representative per family. They'd decide on almost everything, from punishments to criminals, to laws and taxes. Eventually after the Great Raid, Zaragoza decided to drop all of it, since it was "Too much of a hassle", and just named the one he saw fittest as king, and decided that from then on, only one person would lead, with a secondary organization where families could still vote as normal. The king would decide on the punishments for criminals himself, as well as most of the laws. While the council of families would decide on other things like public projects, smaller laws, and together with the king the taxes and other economical issues.Extra Info

Distrustful Peace
While normally the Yrsans are very welcoming, the existance of the Slithering Thieves has caused them to distrust strangers coming from Zaragoza's domain. Still, they accept anyone claiming to be peaceful, but keep them under a closer watch than regular citizens.
Truce
A truce formed in 904 to prevent further crimes within the domain.
Skeptical
After the creationof the Slithering Thieves, and the policies to avoid persecution within Zaragoza's Domain, Torrin's Council deemed them to be a danger, with some of the guild members ending up commiting crimes within the safe walls of the main city. Still, Zaragoza's government does intend on being friendly to Torrin's, due to the profit that can be gained with trade.
