Rockmount

The capital city of Garyk is a large and booming city located on the rough granite bluffs of the bay. The city is built on multiple tiers as a necessity due to the coarse terrain. It is considered the richest city in the world.

Design

Its castle was constructed by the founding families of the city Diamond Bluff, which was just opposite Rockmount across the gorge on its western edge. The two cities were joined by a massive stone bridge that had a natural rock spire that rose from the river mouth's center and supported the structure. The bridge spire was carved as mirror images on both sides in the form of a human male soldier. The stern human figure was depicted as holding up the bridge across its shoulders behind its helmeted head. The statue held its sword centered with both hands and the blade going into the river. Its legs were likewise carved into the spire in the middle. The bridge itself was fifty feet wide and approximately two hundred feet long. Standing over four hundred feet above the water.   The castle peaked the mountainous cliff that overlooked the bay. From the stone fortress and cliffside, the city was then carved down and inland, stepping down for most of the city proper. The first three tiers outside the castle were the original districts of the city. Now referred to as the inner districts, many of the wealthiest Lords & Ladies reside in this area. The next six tiers made up the central districts. A wide variety of class inhabited these parts as it was the most densely populated region of the city. After the nine declining tiers, the cityscape ascended up a rising hill with three large tiers. These larger tiers comprised the outter districts, which housed the less fortunate and stables. The crest of the hilltop donned the outter wall of the city and appeared nearly the same height as the castle in the distance.
