Considered the wealthiest country in Aethos, rivaled only by Pyne as having the best economy. Garyk boarders Vraythr and lives in constant threat of it.
The Four Dukes of Garyk
The leadership of the country is comprised of four Dukes or Dutchesses which are appointed by a selection committee comprised of business leaders, religious figures, and high ranking officers. Typically, a Duke serves a term of ten years, though it isn't uncommon for a Duke to be reappointed or to step down due to unrest. In governing matters, if a decision is split between the Dukes, the tie breaking choice goes to the Archmage of Garyk.
