Elder Treant Sapling

A sapling taken from an Elder Treant  that wraps itself around the druids upper arm snugly with leaves when equipped. The Sapling’s build rests on their shoulder and slowly matures into a Treant over 20 years. After a year the sapling has grown a head and can speak Druidic to the Druid.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

When equipped the Druid can cast a ritual to appear as a tree while remaining still. Standing still is not difficult and the form can be broken instantly by the Druid . While a tree the Druids senses are entirely as they were but they gain an AC of 15.

History

Elder Treants can be found across Aesalia in grand forests which they protect against greedy woodcutters and poachers. When the end of their lives is close many begin to sprout a sapling, which if protected, can grow to become a Treant itself. In order to protect the sapling many Treants chose to entrust their offspring to Druids who they can trust to nurture the young tree until it can return the favour.
