Prior Stefan Stier
The ruler of Estenmarzich known commonly as the Priorylands. Stefan Stier, the Black Prior, is a devout warrior-priest who slew Count Gerhman Steitz and his eldest son dividing the county of Marzich in two.

Personal history
The details of Stefan's life before the church are hazy at best. Arriving to Marzich in the Fireborn Invasion among the mercenaries themselves he fought to invade the territory until their defeat at the hands of Count Gerhman Steitz. Though the other Fireborn were rounded up and executed Stefan took sanctuary in the Groshick Priory whose residents created false documents concealing his past.
Through his time in the priory Stefan found new meaning in his religious pursuits. He learned to read, to proselytize and on the death of the prior was elected by his peers to the mantle himself. Never forgetting the brutality of Count Gerhman Steitz he became an outspoken critic challenges his brutality to the peasantry urging them to stand up for their rights. When the Count finally sent his forces to destroy the Priory Stefan raised a peasant army and met him in open battle crushing the count and securing the independence of the Estenmarzich in his blood.
