Queen Atheral
(a.k.a. The Obsidian Queen)
Queen Atheral was the ruler of the Ashen Ascendency. The second ruler of the land and the youngest child of the former ruler at his death the Queen was raised with the finest education available. A supporter of the isolationist school believing that keeping to their old ways within their borders would ensure they would be granted position on the return of the Dragons, Atheral would tilt the balance of the court in her favour for much of her life. The emergence of High Driest Harmindel who she took for a lover disrupted the balance however as he used his position and seduction of her to change the nation into a more interventionist slate.
