Shared customary codes and values
The Raijuki are a deeply honorable people who viewed dishonour as a permanent stain that weighed upon an individual. Those who were found to have acted in such a way were often cast out and considered irredeemable leading to the creation of orders of pariahs dedicated to dishonorable combat, subterfuge and tricks that formed much of the criminal caste of the kingdom.
The Raijuki were hard workers who had a primarily fish diet earned through their legions of fishermen. Fishing was a common pastime amongst the noble and commoners with the Court Fishermen being a highly regarded position. The rivers of Raijū are wide enough to allow small seafaring vessels to travel along them and many nobles had relations closer to the coast who kept larger ships for them to come along to hunt for larger prey such as wales. The nautical traditions of the Raijuki led to them possessing a considerable navy which protected island holdings all around Renmin.
