The Culling of the Giants

The Culling of the Giants was a grand slaughter of Giants by the Draconic Imperium in the early years of Aesalia. Taking place over several centuries the Culling saw the Giants who ruled over the lands slaughtered and forced into hiding by the stronger and smarter dragons who fought from the sky. 
Though called a Culling the Giants did resist their fate to varying levels of success but records of the war are largely defined by the Draconic Imperium's telling which tends to portray Giants as little more than a rodent infestation upon their land. The Culling started before the Elder War but was simultaneous for much of its history leading some to mix the two events together.
