Eada'atlal

The Aeda'atlal actively seek out ruins and are expert dungeoneers. They believe that raiding the ruins is a testament to their devition and affirmation of their martyrdom. By showing the sun that the current generation of its children do not share in the folley of their predecessors, they hope to appease the god and attain redemption.

Beliefs

At the core of the belief system of the Aeda'Atlal is "the path". Each individual has a destiny, a path along which they must walk. Where the path goes is predestined, but what is uncertain is how and if one is able to overcome the numerous obstacles along its treacherous curves and turns. Hardship and suffering are central aspects of the beliefs of the group, only by continuously strengthening oneself, can one ever hope to reach the end of one's path. The sun also has a prominent role in the symbolism of the group, as the sun is seen as the impartial observer of the mortals struggling to walk down the path. The sun can reveal the shape and form of the path to those who know how to gaze upon it.
The main philosophy of this organization is that each person has a certain destiny, but the outcome of that destiny is not written in stone. The path is predetermined, but not if an individual will overcome the many obstacles that one finds on the path. Each individual walks down this path, as far as their legs can carry them, and only the strong reach the end of this path and are then allowed to rest. Suffering and hardship are an integral part of this philosophy,

Symbols

The sun: The sun is what is left of the god that once lived in the sky, so the Aeada'Atlal believe. Before the Aether storms, day and night where meaningless concepts, and there always was light when it was needed. The lands were filled by sacred relics and holy men and women that brought light wherever they went. But they became arrogant and did not protect the god in the heavens when the god was under attack. A great battle took place in the skies, and the god was mortally wounded and lost one of his eyes. This eye fell to the ground in the form of a searing comet. His remaining eye turned a hateful gaze to his children on the earth which had not protected him. And so the Aeda'Atlal feel his scornful gaze upon them. Where in the past so much was plentiful, now everything is scarce. Only hard work, hardship and humility can satisfy the scorned burning eye of the dead god.   The moon: When the god lost his eye, it fell to the earth. Where it stood before in the sky, now was a gaping hole and darkness enveloped the land. Even mortally wounded, the god still tries to use its eye, blinking to get the blood out of the wound. A full moon means that the god has opened his blind eye.

Relationships

Generally speaking, the Aeda'Atlal have a good relationship with the godseekers as their views on the cause and implications of the aether storm align. Both the godseekers and the Aeda'atlal agree that something horrible and violent happened to god and that this caused the aether storm. The main difference is that the Aeda'Atlal believe that some part of god still lives on in some way and that it is angry at humanity for not standing by his side in his hour of need.
