Keyne and Sons is one of the two major shipwright in Shadowright, locked in ethernal competition with its main rival the Northern Moshabarian shipwright company. The shipwright has its roots in sha'geah of all places, were they originally built the great riverbarges that are the lifeblood of trade in the city-states. In Moshabar they specialise in custom whisperwood ships.

Designs

Being forever remembered in Shadowright as the company that was the second company to successfully launch a seaworthy vessel made from wood obtained from the umbra trees, its initially weaker innovative designs have long since surpassed those of its rival. No request strange enough for keyne and sons to consider, no design too unique. In stark contrast to the Northern Moshabarian shipwright company, Keyne and sons also retrofit ships with umbrawood keels. This relatively recent innovation (in shipwrights terms of recent) has sparked the smoldering rivalry between the two competitors and the accompanying discussions if such a ship can be considered to be considered for the council of captains.
