Cambion

A cambion is the offspring of a Succubus and another humanoid race. In the Principality of Inferna, they are considered the same caste as Succubi and are, similarly to succubi, associated with lustfulness.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A cambion's anatomy is a mix of a Succubus and their non-Succubus parent, and which features they inherit can vary. For instance, a cambion born from a Succubus and a Human could appear to be completely Human, or could appear to be a full-blooded Succubus, but most are somewhere in the middle. Because of this, a cambion's ability to blend in to the society of their non-Succubus parent unaided by Magic is quite variable.

Genetics and Reproduction

Cambions reproduce sexually, and are viviparous. Their gestation period is nine months. Cambions are genetically compatible with other cambions, Succubi, and the race of their non-Succubus parent.

Ecology and Habitats

Cambions can live in a variety of environments, but are less suited to volcanic environments than Succubi. Cambions have more limited, but still above average, heat tolerance and no flame resistance.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Cambions are typically either carnivorous or omnivorous, depending on their non-Succubus parent, and are somewhat adaptable.

Some Devils regard cambions as lower than full-blooded Succubi. Despite this, they occupy the same caste in Inferna as Succubi.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Many cambions live in Inferna, but some also live in Aevorea. Those that live in Aevorea typically try to hide their true nature.

Cambions typically inherit a mixture of sensory capabilities, but don't typically inherit sensory disadvantages.
