Great Forest Druids
Structure
The Great Forest Druids (GFD) are led by the Triumvirate, made up of two Dryads and a Druid, who are chosen by and are beholden to the Hamadryad of the Great Forest.
Culture
The GFD serve the Dryads of the Great Forest. They strive to live in harmony with nature, rather than dominating or removing it as most civilizations do. However, contrary to what some may believe, this does not mean that they are barbaric or primitive. The GFD were one of the few peoples on the continent who were able to remain independent from The Imperium, and they value this independence greatly.
Public Agenda
The GFD are primarily dedicated to protecting the Great Forest.
History
The GFD were originally a small religious organization. Over time, the organization grew and the prominence of the religious aspect waned. Today, the GFD are essentially a country.
276 years ago, a group of soldiers from a place called the Adrizrehan Empire arrived in the Great Forest through a portal that had been dormant for centuries. They harvested some Veskaril, then left. Soon afterwards, they came back to harvest more. Viewing this as an invasion, the GFD (which was much smaller at the time) responded with force. The Adrizrehanians retreated without fighting. A few days later, an Adrizrehanian diplomat arrived, and after a month and a half of negotiation, the Triumvirate and the Adrizrehanians came to an agreement. The Adrizrehanians were allowed to harvest a set amount of Veskaril per month, as long as they did not disturb the Great Forest in any other way. In the 276 years since, this agreement has not changed.
