The Imperium is a utopia for those who meet its ideals. For those like you, it is an oppressive and controlling regime. You are not normal. You are not like everyone else. Maybe the inhuman blood you carry has finally boiled to the surface, or you stumbled onto an old spell and woke something ancient, or you went too far in an interrogation and left your suspect dead.
Whatever the reason, you've been forced to flee your old life, leaving your friends and family behind. Everything that once mattered to you is gone, and all you want now is to disappear into the world.
The Starting Premise
You've signed on as a hired hand for a merchant caravan. You cook, tend horses, fix wagons, dig latrines, and handle other odd jobs. You keep a low profile and anything unique or valuable on your person is carefully hidden.
Building Your Character
Use the links in the sidebar to build your character concept and familiarize yourself with changes to the rules. Use the

Do not focus on general equipment or gear to start, as you'll have an opportunity to supply yourself in the first session. Rather, focus only on items that are significant to your character, such as a family heirloom, a spellbook, a treasured gun, etc.
Your Story is Your Own
To start, none of the characters will know one another. Your bloodline, your class, and anything else about your character should be entirely secret from the other players. Avoid viewing the Campaign on D&D Beyond so that you don't accidentally reveal the characters created by other players.
