The Arid Waste
Geography
The Arid Wastes is a vast desert expanse. The wastes have some large rocky/mountain areas but for the most part it is incredibly flat expanse. Fresh water exists within small sparring oasis throughout the region. Mountains lie to the east separating the wastes from The Noxious Jungle. To the south is The Eternal Sea. To the north is The Metallic Dominion.
Fauna & Flora
Flora of this area is such that it can survive in a limited water supply and tolerate salt. Oasis are surrounded by the Tamarisk Tree. It accommodates flowering plants such as convolvulus, mustard, pea, daisy, caper, iris, and milkweed families.
Fauna of this desert includes many different kind of species. It comprises of Insects such as Anopheles mosquito, Caterpillar, Scorpions, Spiders, Lice, Ants, Butterflies, Moths and Roaches. Snakes such as Vipers and Sand Cobra are commonly found. It constitutes of Mammals such as Ratel, Fox, Wild Goat.
Natural Resources
Natural resources are incredibly scarce within the wastes. A few minerals can be found in caverns underneath the ground level and even a small amount of oil. However The Noxious jungle far exceeds the minerals the wastes can produce and The Frigid Bluff far exceeds the amount of oil produced.
History
The Arid wastes was among the last of the major regions to be colonized. It remained that vast open expanse for many years before eventually the blue dragons decided to settle the area. While the blue dragons enjoy the climate of the desert like area they realized many citizens would not be so fond of it. However they quickly ran out of options as many other regions began to be colonized quickly around them. Thus they settled in The Arid Waste.
Tourism
In the past tourists were few and far between,but now with the vast amount of technological advances created within the wastes it has attracted a significant amount of attention. Specifically from entrepreneurs looking to buy and sell these inventions.
