The Noxious Jungle
Geography
It's a massive jungle thicket that until the country was founded, covered the land. There are two rivers that run from north to south within the jungle. One leads off into the Eternal Sea, and the other leads into the Petorham Bay. The Noxious Jungle has mountain ranges to the west and south that separate the jungle from the Vile Bog and Arid Wastes. The Shimmering Expanse touches the land to the northeast, and the Eternal Sea to the southwest. Beneath the jungle there is a natural forming cave that holds one of the most precious metals to be found; Aredite.
Fauna & Flora
The Noxious Jungle gets its name for a reason; it is host to dozens upon dozens to poisonous and toxic fauna. From flowers, to berries, fungus, to bugs, reptiles, and amphibians. Those who are not raised within the jungle itself are sure to perish within the jungle without a proper guide, this is why a lot of locals make a living at escorting the licensed travelers from city to city. It would not be a good look for the country if all visitors perished.
Natural Resources
Aredite runs through the natural caves underneath the jungle. It is heavily mined by any locals and used heavily as the main source of export for the country, alongside natural poisons and remedies to said poisons.
History
The ruler prior to Naldrossa was Talverton the Grand Duke. He was the original ancient green dragon who pulled his people together to build the cities that exist within the jungle itself. He worked with researchers to find and create ways for his people to safely traverse the dangers that exist within the jungle. While they were building their cities, the people had to find some place safe to stay. An easy solution was to build tunnels in the ground while those above worked on the city. During their stay within the tunnels, the natural resource of Aredite was found. This valuable metal sparked what is now the booming trading system of the Noxious Jungle. Talverton ruled for many centuries before Naldrossa with the assistance of Zulrie came to power.
Tourism
Due to the country having the largest cell of the Merchant's Guild, the tourism is incredibly high with traders specifically. However, without a trading license it is difficult to get within city walls. But due to it's exclusivity, word has gotten out to the surrounding areas of the countries' interesting cities and glorious architecture.
